A deliciously laid back way to enjoy fresh, locally caught, sustainable seafood, straight off the boats. Take a hot grill, a passionate team and a few irresistible favourites. Add a pinch of sea salt and a juicy squeeze of lemon. Place a few casual tables on the quay. Pour a glass or two and throw in a perfect harbourside view. At Hatch on the Harbour we serve fresh, honest seafood that's all about quality ingredients, taste and flavour. Ready to eat here or take away.
Hatch will be re-opening for #seafoodstreetfood from Saturday 25th March.

March through October
Midday - til late
We don't have inside seating, so we don't operate a bookings policy. Just come down to the quayside and we'll look after you. We're fully licenced so you can also enjoy a glass of something refreshing with your food.
Everything we serve is made from scratch, using only the finest local ingredients. Fresh Portland lobster, simply grilled and drizzled with butter, or wrapped up in the finest lobster roll you've ever tasted. Diver-caught Dorset scallops, served with a zingy salsa verde. Irresistible local oysters or incredible crab sandwiches, with fries, homemade slaw, spicy patatas bravas or some lively padron peppers on the side.
Seafood is always best served fresh, so we source ours straight from the local inshore fishing boats - which isn't difficult since they land their catch right outside our windows every day. We can tell you where and when your meal was caught, and most likely exactly who caught it too. So see you down at the harbour, there's sure to be something to tempt you.
Sustainability at the Old Fish Market
Want to know how to create #seafoodstreetfood at home? We've put some of our favourite recipes online, so if you like what you eat at Hatch, you can shop next door at Weyfish for the star ingredient - the finest, freshest, Dorset fish and shellfish. Trust us, it tastes almost as good without the view.
Right above us at Hatch, Catch at the Old Fish Market, promises an authentic fine dining experience, served with passion and attention, in an historic harbourside location. Executive Chef Mike Naidoo creates elegant, ingredient-led dishes that celebrate the freshest sustainable seafood, paired with local, seasonal produce.
